Your light/dark/system preference is stored in this browser under tp-theme. If you choose “Use this birthday across tools”, your birth date is stored in this tab’s session storage under tp-birthday-v1 so the age, space-age and calendar tools can reuse it. This option is off by default. “Forget birthday” or the tools’ clear-birthday buttons remove it. Closing a tab normally ends its session, but browsers may restore session storage when restoring tabs, so use Forget birthday on a shared device. Clearing site data removes both preferences. The default follows your device. Theme selection still works when storage is unavailable.
Your dates
Dates, times, time-zone selections, Unix timestamps, holiday lists, planning dates and dates of birth are processed in your browser. On first load, the converter reads the browser’s current date, time and time-zone setting so the globe starts locally. “Use my current location” refreshes the same information; neither action requests GPS coordinates. The application does not automatically save your inputs or send them to an application server. Birth dates start blank unless you have explicitly chosen to remember one for this tab. Without that choice they are not saved between pages. A remembered birthday stays on this device and is not included in URLs or sent to an application server. The hosting provider receives ordinary requests for site files and may keep access logs.
Sharing and downloads are your choice
The countdown has an optional share button. Its link contains the event title, target time and zone in a readable URL fragment. Anyone you give that link to can read them; avoid private event details. The browser may retain a link you open in its history. URL fragments are not included in ordinary HTTP requests. A countdown you have not shared resets when you reload. Fiscal calendar CSV files download only when you choose Download; uploaded files and a server are not needed.
Advertising
No advertising is active. Ad networks can introduce external requests and data processing, so audience, provider, accessibility and privacy requirements would need review before any future activation. Child-facing lessons should remain ad-free.
